The Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the official currency of Indonesia. The currency symbol is Rp. The approximately exchange rate of USD 1.00 (currently) is about IDR 13,500.00 (depend on the daily exchange rate).

 

Language

The official language for the Congress is English and Bahasa Indonesia.

 

Weather

The weather during the Congress (end of October – beginning of November) is changing season from summer to rainy and usually the rainy season is begin,  the temperature is around 27 0C.

 

Transportation

  1. Transportation from Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport to the Hotel/Venue is more convenience and better using airport/meter taxi.
  2. From Airport to Nusa Dua area could be reach by toll (at IDR 11,000.00) for about 15 minutes or by alternate roadway, but will take a longer time and distance.
  3. For daily transportation during you stay in Bali you can use public transportation such as taxi meter, public small car (Angkot) or rent a car/rent a motor bike (it is prohibited for person drive a car/motor bike without driving license and an international driving license is mandatory needed for foreigner.

 

Sight seeing & Culture

There are many beautiful place (mountain and beach) in Bali Island (you can looking for the detail information through internet or web site). The traditional Bali culture mostly related to the Hinduism. There are many beautiful dance performance such as Legong, Kecak etc. with a very dynamic traditional Balinese Gamelan music. Wood sculpture, traditional shirt or T-shirt with unique motive and other traditional souvenir could be easily found in the shopping place.


Religion

Majority religion in Indonesia is Moslem, but Hindu is the majority religion in Bali. There are also several Christian and Catholic churches, Mosque and Budhis Temple.


Culinary

Several delicious Balinese such as Ayam Betutu, Serombotan, Sate Lilit, Lawar Kuwir, Babi Guling, Rujak Kuah Pindang & Rujak Bulung, Tipat Blayang, Nasi Jinggo and Nasi Tepeng are very famous among Balinese and foreigner. The city of Denpasar is very international, there are many foreign restaurant that serve foreign cuisines.
